“As a singer and performer, Michelle Duda is grace personified. Duda’s silky voice puts her in the same category of seemingly effortless Songbook singers as Stacey Kent…” —All About Jazz
Originally from Ohio, Michelle grew up under the tutelage of legendary jazz educators and artists, Michele Horsefield Carney and Hank Marr. She performed with big band, jazz, pop and blues ensembles, and worked as a jingle session singer, voice-over talent, and TV host. In 2006, she began studies with free-bop legend Jay Clayton, and in short order, moved to NYC.
Since then, Michelle has performed at venues across Gotham. Her debut album, A Fool Like Me, features thoughtful arrangements and performances by dear friends and virtuosos, Paul Odeh (piano), Yoshi Waki (bass), and Dan Aran (percussion).
